Bjarne Schieldrop von der Nordea Bank (SEB) sagte: „Das Inkrafttreten des Waffenstillstandsabkommens hat die Bedenken des Marktes hinsichtlich der Sicherheit des weltweiten Rohöltransports gemildert.“ Durch diese Änderung wird die kriegsbedingte Risikoprämie, die seit Ende 2023 in den Ölpreisen enthalten ist, schrittweise beseitigt.

Während das Waffenstillstandsabkommen in Gaza die Schlagzeilen dominiert, richten Händler ihre Aufmerksamkeit wieder auf die Angebotsaussichten. Die OPEC+, die Organisation erdölexportierender Länder, und ihre Verbündeten einigten sich im November auf eine geringer als erwartete Produktionssteigerung, was die Bedenken hinsichtlich eines Überangebots etwas zerstreute.
